NeighborWoods Planting in Arden Park

Arden Park, Sacramento

Sunday, October 29 9:00A - 12:00P

Like many Sacramento neighborhoods, Arden Park faces a declining tree canopy due to an aging population of trees made up mostly of Modesto Ash. More than a decade ago, the forward-thinking neighborhood formed a group to facilitate an annual Tree Planting Project to replace those trees and revitalize their community. This year, we will need the assistance of our TREEmendous volunteers. Together, we can keep Arden Park's tree canopy healthy and beautiful for generations to come.

NeighborWoods Planting in River Park

River Park, Sacramento

Saturday, November 4 9:00A - 12:00P

River Park is known for its beautiful tree canopy -- including large specimens aided by rich soils deposited by the American River. Despite this advantage, like much of the Sacramento region, River Park is facing a decline in their tree canopy due to age, drought, and other tree issues. Taking action to remedy this problem, River Park will hold their 4th community planting event this November. Join residents of the neighborhood in planting trees at individual homes to keep the River Park's canopy healthy and vibrant.

This volunteer opportunity is only available to River Park residents.
