Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op, Sacramento
Thursday, August 10 6:15P - 8:15P
Sacramento is the City of Trees, and we think the best way to celebrate our lovely canopy is to get outside and take a tree tour in Midtown! Brought to you by the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op, Fleet Feet, and the Sacramento Tree Foundation, this FREE urban hike will start at the Co-op travel north on 27th through Winn Park up to Sutters Fort and Fleet Feet then back down 26th highlighting some of Sacramentos oldest residents: THE TREES! Join Certified Arborist, Pamela Sanchez, as we appreciate our tall, shady friends and learn more about tree identification, Sacramento's tree history, fun facts, and more.
Bear River Habitat Trail, Yuba County
Saturday, August 12 8:30A - 11:00A
Join us this summer as we gather on the second Saturday of each month to pull weeds, repair plant protection materials, and perform other ongoing maintenance to care for the Bear River Habitat Trail. With your help, the 5,000 new plants along the trail will thrive as we continue to build this new public open space area for the Plumas Lake community's residents and wildlife.
