Top 5 Trees for Fall Color

Can you feel it? Fall is in the air! Crisp mornings, leaves changing colors, and the ubiquitous flavor of pumpkin spice have arrived. Living in one of the most diverse urban forests in the world (Sacramento boasts more than 100 different species of trees), we are fortunate each Fall to watch as our trees prepare for Winter and our urban forest becomes a wild expanse of color. Join the Sacramento Tree Foundation and San Juan Water District to learn about caring for your trees using low water landscaping techniques. Discover the magic of mulching, slow-watering strategies, and more. Learn to keep your young and mature trees healthy with the right amount of water. The wet weather last winter was certainly welcome, but these water wise methods for tree care remain useful for our hot and dry summer climate.
